Anti-Freeze Valves G2002

The antifreeze valve drains the circuit medium when its temperature drops to an average of 3 °C. This helps prevent ice formation within the system, commonly found in heat pumps, and protects both the machine and the pipes from potential damage. The version equipped with an air sensor allows the system to continue operating in cooling mode, even if the water temperature is nearing 3 °C. In such cases, the air sensor activates to prevent the water from draining.

Detail Description

An anti-frozen valve (or antifreeze valve) is a protective component used in systems like heat pumps, refrigeration units, and other water-based or fluid-based systems to prevent the formation of ice within the system. Its primary function is to safeguard the equipment from freezing conditions that could cause damage to pipes, compressors, heat exchangers, or other vital components.

Key Functions of an Anti-Frozen Valve:
Prevent Freezing: The valve detects when the temperature of the circuit medium (e.g., water or coolant) drops to a potentially damaging level, typically around 3°C (37.4°F). If the temperature reaches this threshold, the valve opens to drain the fluid from the circuit. This action helps prevent ice formation, which could obstruct pipes or damage sensitive components.

Protects System Components: Freezing can lead to cracked pipes, burst components, and damage to the heat pump or cooling system. The antifreeze valve helps avoid these issues by eliminating the risk of ice formation in low temperatures.

Air Sensor Integration (in some versions): Some anti-frozen valves include an air sensor that monitors the surrounding environment. This feature allows the system to continue operating in cooling mode even if the water temperature approaches the 3°C threshold. The air sensor ensures that the valve does not open and drain the water unnecessarily, allowing the system to keep running in conditions where water drainage would not be needed (e.g., in cooling operations).
